Tips To Enjoy The Fair
Check the weather report. Be prepared with sunscreen and visors on warm, sunny days. Have a jacket or sweatshirt for cool evenings. A poncho or umbrella is a good idea if skies turn to gray.
Wear comfortable shoes. With over 90 acres of activities and 300 vendors, there is plenty of walking in store.
Leave coolers and picnic baskets at home. No bottles, cans, coolers or picnic baskets are permitted on the Fairgrounds.
Bring your camera. There will be plenty of memorable moments, so bring your camera or video cam and capture the special day forever. Please note: cameras and video cams may be prohibited during certain entertainment events.
Leave your pets at home. With the exception of Seeing Eye dogs accompanying the visually impaired, pets are not allowed on the Fairgrounds. Do not leave them in your vehicle.
Note where you parked. Double-check which gate you enter. Each admission gate is clearly numbered. Take a minute to familiarize yourself with your surroundings when you arrive to avoid confusion when you depart.
Come hungry. Ribs, chicken, sausage, corn dogs, cotton candy, candy apples and elephant ears are in plenty of supply throughout the Fairgrounds.
Lost? Once inside the Fair, pick a place to meet in case your group becomes separated.
First Aid can be obtained by contacting your nearest Guest Services Booth or visiting Medical Services near the
Hocklander Building.
Lost Parents' assistance is available at your nearest Guest Services Booth.
Handicap Services are available throughout the Fairgrounds including reserved parking, special seating and building and event accessibility.
