Facilities Available for Year-Round Rentals

Indoor Rental Facilities

The 90 acre Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds are located in West Mobile at the intersection of Cody Road and Zeigler Boulevard. The Fairgrounds are available for almost every type of event imaginable, large or small, indoors or outdoors. It is completely fenced for privacy and control with paved parking for 1,000 vehicles, and total parking for up to 5,000 vehicles. A covered drive allows protected loading and unloading of passengers to the Hocklander Hall and Grand Ballroom.

Hocklander Hall – Hocklander Hall lends itself admirably to trade shows, flea markets, concerts, and sporting events. Roll-up doors provide easy access for unloading and are large enough to accommodate recreational vehicles, trailers, boats, trucks and cars.

Grand Ballroom – The Grand Ballroom is the centerpiece of the Fairgrounds’ indoor facilities. The Grand Ballroom is well suited for Mardi Gras Balls, seated dinners, receptions, private parties, proms, dances, exhibitions, trade shows and conventions.

Capacities of the Grand Ballroom:

  • 2,700 Reception (no tables or chairs)
  • 2,200 Theater-style (chairs only)
  • 2,000 Banquet (tables and chairs)

In addition, the Grand Ballroom can be divided into two smaller rooms by a collapsible dividing wall. The tiled side is the EXHIBIT HALL and the carpeted side is the BALLROOM. Both sides together are called the GRAND BALLROOM. It adjoins and can be used in conjunction with Hocklander Hall.

Outdoor Rental Facilities

Budweiser Grandstand

The Budweiser Grandstand Stage is perfect for any type of musical event from bluesfests to rock acts to a country hoedown. The large field in front of the stage can accommodate an audience of up to 20,000 people. The stage can also be used for speeches, announcements, etc.
